Thames Valley Councils' Public Health Departments (12 months compulsory in one of these service placements)

Training of Public Health Specialty Registrars:  A Revised Guide for Local Councils 2016  Published by the Faculty of Public Health the guide provides updated information about the organisation of the Public Health Specialty Training Programme and the responsibilities of councils in hosting PH Specialty Registrars (StRs).  It includes a broad selection of case studies of work delivered by StRs in councils across England.  The guide has been produced by members of the FPH Specialty Registrars' Committee and has been endorsed by the FPH, the Local Government Association and Public health England:
